At a Glance:
- Are Bayern Munich interested in Kai Havertz?
- Havertz’s worrying injury record.
- Arsenal should keep the attacker.
With just two years left on Kai Havertz’s contract at Arsenal, only time will tell whether Mikel Arteta considers the prospect of offloading him in the summer.
Considering Havertz’s recurring injuries for starters, it will be fascinating to see whether the Gunners decision-makers mull over whether to cash in on the German international.
As things stand, the former Chelsea attacker remains one of Mikel Arteta’s most trusted soldiers. The Spaniard routinely deploys the Champions League winner as a striker and in attacking midfield.
With the end of the 2025/2026 season fast approaching, Havertz has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich are interested in signing Arsenal’s Kai Havertz
With Bayern targeting Anthony Gordon as an understudy to Luis Diaz, perhaps the Bundesliga champions feel Havertz could also serve as a backup to Harry Kane.
After all, Kane is an elite striker and seems to get better with age, having bagged an outstanding tally of 54 goals in all competitions this campaign.
Journalist James Benge played down the fact that Bayern were pushing to sign Havertz.
Fascinated to discover what I've supposedly said. I don't remember saying anything other than "there's interest there, nothing more than that".

However, Benge confirmed the club’s interesting, as he wrote on X: “Fascinated to discover what I’ve supposedly said. I don’t remember saying anything other than, ‘there’s interest there, nothing more than that.’
Arsenal should not sell Kai Havertz
Some fans might suggest Havertz’s sale simply because of his injury record of late. While that might be a fair reason to offload the 26-year-old, he is a useful squad player for Mikel Arteta.
While Viktor Gyokeres impressed against Atletico Madrid, his spell as an Arsenal player so far cannot be considered a success. While even Martin Odegaard could leave Arsenal come the summer.
Considering Havertz can do a job up front and behind the striker, perhaps Arsenal should keep him at the club and reject Bayern’s advances for the time being.
