Arsenal Women have completed the permanent signing of teenage Danish goalkeeper Isabella Damm from Brøndby IF.
The 18-year-old joins Renée Slegers’ squad after previously spending time training with Arsenal on trial.
Damm progressed through Brøndby’s academy after joining the Danish club in 2021. She made her senior debut during a 3-0 victory over AGF in October 2025.
The goalkeeper has also represented Denmark at under-17 and under-19 level.
Arsenal’s announcement carried by the Women’s Super League confirmed that Damm will wear the No 40 shirt in north London.
She joins Daphne van Domselaar and Anneke Borbe in Arsenal’s goalkeeping department.
Slegers backs Damm to fulfil major potential
Damm described Arsenal as the right environment for her development after experiencing the club’s training set-up last season.
Slegers praised the youngster’s technical ability, composure and bravery, while highlighting her potential for further improvement.
Director of women’s football Clare Wheatley said Arsenal had monitored Damm for some time and consider her among Europe’s leading goalkeepers in her age group.
Brøndby had previously promoted Damm into their senior squad after agreeing a contract extension until the end of 2027.
The Danish club described her as a modern goalkeeper who is comfortable in possession and confident when leaving her goal.
Her arrival continues a busy summer for Arsenal Women.
As Read Arsenal’s recent transfer overview noted, Georgia Stanway, Selina Cerci, Geraldine Reuteler and Ona Batlle have already joined Slegers’ squad.
Damm is expected to develop behind Arsenal’s more experienced goalkeepers rather than immediately compete for the starting position.
However, her permanent arrival strengthens the club’s long-term planning and adds another highly regarded young player to the title-winning squad.
