Leandro Trossard has given the green light to a move to Besiktas, with Arsenal set to receive around €20million (£17m) as the Belgian heads to Istanbul on Tuesday for a medical and to sign his contract.
According to Fabrizio Romano, personal terms and the fee – €18m guaranteed plus €2m in add-ons – were agreed after Trossard approved the switch on Monday, with David Ornstein also reporting the Belgian is set to join the Turkish giants in a deal worth £17.2m. The 31-year-old has just 12 months left on his Arsenal contract and won the Premier League title with the club last season, scoring the winner in a 1-0 victory at West Ham in May.
Christos Tzolis Move Set To Accelerate Once Trossard Deal Completes
Arsenal have been chasing Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis for weeks and, according to Ornstein, are ready to move as soon as Trossard’s exit is finalised, with Andrea Berta’s recruitment team viewing the Greece international as a natural replacement on the left. Trossard scored 36 goals in 174 appearances across three-and-a-half years at the Emirates, but leaves with just a year left on his deal after agreeing reduced terms last year that raised his wages without extending his stay.
Mikel Arteta’s side remain in the market for a left-sided attacker regardless of how the Tzolis pursuit develops, with Morgan Rogers and Bradley Barcola also on the club’s shortlist this summer.
