Arsenal’s move to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge is being held up by one final call: Leandro Trossard’s decision on his proposed transfer to Besiktas.
According to a fresh update from Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal are waiting on Trossard to give his personal approval to the Besiktas switch before they press ahead with completing the signing of Tzolis. The Belgian’s final say is understood to be the only obstacle left in the deal, with the Greek international lined up as his replacement on the left.

Trossard and Besiktas agreed personal terms on a switch worth around €20m earlier this month, with the Belgian expected to sign a contract to 2029 with the option of a further year. Besiktas are understood to be confident of completing the move in the coming days.
Tzolis, meanwhile, has reportedly put a separate proposal on hold to wait for Arsenal’s interest to develop. FootballTransfers reports the club remain in regular contact with his representatives and are ready to move as soon as the Trossard deal is finalised.
The Club Brugge winger’s improved output since leaving Norwich City has revived his reputation, and his willingness to wait suggests personal terms will not be a sticking point once Trossard’s exit is confirmed. Arsenal’s separate interest in Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, valued at a British-record £130m by Villa according to Sky Sports, remains a distinct pursuit rather than a straight alternative to Tzolis.
