Bayern Munich make Kai Havertz decision as Arsenal stance becomes clear

Kai Havertz has not had the easiest time at Arsenal throughout the 2025/26 season, having struggled with injuries all throughout the season.

The German attacker has only made 20 appearances so far this campaign, with only 9 of these being in the Premier League—meaning he has barely been a part of what could be a title-winning campaign for the Gunners.

Given that he could be acquired for a lower price thanks to his down season, there have been rumours circulating that Bayern Munich have been looking at Havertz as an option in their forward line.

There has been a recent revelation regarding this situation, and it seems as if the 26-year-old is fairly set on what his decision will be in terms of his club choice next year.

Kai Havertz to Bayern Munich is ‘not true’ according to German media

Christian Falk of BILD has confirmed that there will be no move for Kai Havertz to the reigning German champions Bayern Munich, and that he is not even on the radar of the Bavarian club at this point.

“It is not true that Bayern Munich have added Kai Havertz to their shortlist ahead of the summer. There were no talks, no negotiations. Havertz is already thinking about next season with Arsenal.”

“I think he would like to play for Bayern Munich in the future, but at the moment, his name wasn’t discussed by the supervisory board. He’s not, at present, on Bayern’s summer shortlist,” Falk stated.

Part of Bayern’s disinterest could be down to the fact that their front three is arguably Europe’s most impressive, with Harry Kane, Luis Diaz, and Michael Olise all individually having world-class campaigns in 2025/26.

As a member of the midfield unit, Bayern could logically part with Jamal Musiala or Lennart Karl, both offensive-minded midfielders, given the former’s injury issues and latter’s controversy regarding entertaining a potential move to Real Madrid, but it appears there is no interest there either.

Kai Havertz is a vital part of Arsenal’s pressing structure in the eyes of the club

Whenever Kai Havertz starts or features for Arsenal up front, it is evident how beneficial his off-ball and pressing movements are to the team as a whole.

While Viktor Gyokeres is also a strong presser, and the Swede was highlighted for his intensity in the second leg versus Atletico Madrid. According to the Independent’s Miguel Delaney, Havertz is one of the most valued in terms of maintaining the team’s structure, indicating they would like to keep him at the club.
