With Arsenal reaching the Champions League final and being the favourites to become Premier League champions, the Gunners could win both trophies in the same season for the first time in their history.
In the title race, the Gunners have a five-point lead over Manchester City. While Pep Guardiola’s men still have a game in hand, Mikel Arteta’s side are best-placed to get over the line.
As far as the Champions League final is concerned, the English giants cannot be written off. Arsenal could beat PSG even though the French giants seem primed to defend their crown.
With stalwarts like Declan Rice leading by example and Arsenal hitting top gear at the right time, they could very well make history this term. The club’s chances of winning the historic double have come to light.

It seems most likely that Arsenal will shed their reputation as nearly-men at the end of the season as there is only a 6.7% chance that they will end up trophyless this season.
Arsenal would rather win the Premier League over the Champions League
Ideally, Mikel Arteta would like to lift both trophies. Not only because it would be a historic feat but because the Spaniard’s side have the quality to do so. However, if given the choice, Arsenal should perhaps be eyeing the Premier League title more than the Champions League.
Winning the league would represent Arsenal establishing themselves as the best team in the country, which would be a more tangible sign of gradual progress than becoming the champions of Europe.
Furthermore, there is no shame in losing a final to PSG but at this point of time, it would take a monumental collapse for the club not to win the league again.
