Luis Enrique will be determined to cause Arsenal heartache in the Champions League final as he aims to win the competition in successive seasons at Paris Saint-Germain boss.
PSG are preparing for Arsenal’s set-piece tactics more than two weeks in advance of the much-awaited clash in Budapest.
The Parisians knocked the Gunners out of the Champions League last season by beating them 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals.
Interestingly, another way in which the Ligue 1 champions could have hurt Arsenal is by their signing their transfer target Julian Alvarez, who was attracted by PSG’s project. However, a fresh update has emerged around the Argentine’s future.
Arsenal target Julian Alvarez is not in Luis Enrique’s PSG plans
SPORT have revealed that Alvarez is not in Luis Enrique’s plans at PSG, despite being one of the best strikers in Europe. The defending champions of Europe were keen on signing the Atletico Madrid forward when he was set to leave Manchester City in 2024.

Luis Enrique is believed to have been on board with his signing at the time but the player preferred a move to Madrid.
Arsenal could sign Alvarez if they make a sale in the summer and PSG’s stance about making a move for the treble-winner is the same.
Enrique remains a big fan of the World Cup winner, with even Piero Hincapie singing Alvarez’s praises. Even Lionel Messi called Alvarez a “lovely guy” (via Manchester Evening News) and praised his impact during the 2022 World Cup, which shows that there is no doubting his calibre.
Julian Alvarez on his future
With Viktor Gyokeres improving at Arsenal and Mikel Arteta valuing Kai Havertz in his system, it is hard to see which player makes way for the potential addition of the two-time Premier League winner.
Alvarez recently addressed speculation around his future, admitting that he is not focusing on being linked away from Atletico Madrid to clubs like PSG, Arsenal and Barcelona.
Alvarez said via beIN SPORTS: “I try not to give too much importance to what people say, because the truth is that every week, new things appear, all kinds of information.
“I can’t go out and clarify or deny everything that gets published, because it ends up being a snowball of lies.”
