Arsenal host Bournemouth in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon at the Emirates Stadium, with Mikel Arteta’s side looking to move twelve points clear at the summit of the English top flight.

The Gunners beat Sporting CP on Tuesday night in the Champions League, courtesy of a 91st-minute Kai Havertz strike. The result leaves the North Londoners in a strong position to progress into the semi-final of Europe’s elite competition ahead of next week’s second leg, although their attentions now turn back to domestic action.

Arteta may have been somewhat concerned by his side’s offensive display in Lisbon, with his team amassing just eight shots at the Jose Alvalade Stadium. This has become a common theme for the Gunners, and they’ll certainly have to turn their performance up a notch against the Cherries to emerge with all three points.

Bournemouth have had over three weeks off since their last fixture – a 2-2 draw against Manchester United at the Vitality Stadium. Andoni Iraola’s side sit comfortably in mid-table in the Premier League, although their time off should mean they are fresh and ready to provide Arsenal with a stern test.

The south coast outfit haven’t lost a game in the league since Arsenal beat them 3-2 in January in the reverse fixture, when a Declan Rice brace and a Gabriel Magalhaes goal cancelled out strikes from Evanilson and Junior Kroupi.
