A hat-trick from 17-year-old striker Eddie Nketiah gave Arsenal’s U2s a 3-0 win over Leicester City’s U23s at Meadow Park on Monday evening.
He opened the scoring after 15 minutes with a lovely curling effort. He made it 2-0 with a very good drilled finish and completed his hat-trick with a volley from close range.
With Wednesday night’s EFL Cup quarter-final against Southampton coming up, Arsenal fielded a very young side but were still able to get a win.
