Promising Arsenal Donyell Malen has claimed that former Arsenal pair Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp acted as major factors in his decision to join the north London club.
Malen joined the Gunners this summer from Dutch giants Ajax after a drawn out transfer saga involving several clubs, all vying for his signature. Arsenal eventually won the youngster’s signature in the summer and were very pleased to have secured him.
The 16-year-old has been in fine form for the Arsenal youth sides and was even moved up to the under-19 squad. Malen admitted that Arsenal legends Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp were huge factors in his decision to move to England.

Arsenal was a club that had always interested me for two main reasons, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry.
Arsenal fans will be hoping that this promising youngster can live up to the hype that surrounds him. If he can reach the levels of either of the legends that inspired his move to the English capital, then he will certainly become a fan favourite in the years to come.
