Remi Lupinski signs first professional Arsenal contract

Arsenal goalkeeper Remi Lupinski has signed the first professional contract of his career following an encouraging debut season at Hale End.

The 17-year-old joined the Gunners from MK Dons last summer after spending a decade within the Buckinghamshire club’s academy.

Lupinski established himself with Arsenal Under-18s during the 2025/26 campaign and made 10 league appearances. He also kept clean sheets against West Bromwich Albion and Reading.

Arsenal’s official announcement confirmed that the deal remains subject to the completion of regulatory processes.

“It feels amazing, a very proud day for me and my family,” Lupinski said. “It’s another milestone reached and I can’t wait for the season to begin.”

Lupinski targets further Arsenal progress

The goalkeeper admitted that leaving MK Dons initially required an adjustment, but he soon settled after receiving support from Arsenal’s players and academy coaches.

Lupinski has already trained with Mikel Arteta’s senior squad and highlighted the first-team players’ professionalism as an example for the academy group.

The teenager is eligible to represent England and Poland. He named former Arsenal goalkeepers Wojciech Szczęsny and Łukasz Fabiański as major influences on his career.

His next objective will be to secure regular Under-18 minutes while pushing for opportunities at a higher age level.

Lupinski becomes the latest young player to commit his future to Arsenal as the club continues strengthening its academy pathway. The Gunners have also recruited promising goalkeepers from outside Hale End, with Read Arsenal previously reporting that Northern Irish prospect Phoenix Blayney is set to join from Larne.

Arsenal will now oversee Lupinski’s development as he attempts to follow the path taken by his Polish goalkeeping inspirations.
