Ousmane Dembele is arguably Paris Saint-Germain’s most important player and if he does end up missing the Champions League final, Arsenal could be handed a huge advantage.

PSG have won Ligue 1 already and unlike the Gunners, they will now have a fortnight of rest ahead of the showpiece event in Budapest.

With Arsenal targeting Bradley Barcola, they know how dangerous the Frenchman can be alongside the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue.

As a result, the French giants will remain a world-class outfit even if the Ballon d’Or winner is ruled of action.

After PSG lost 2-1 to Paris FC on Sunday, Luis Enrique was asked about Dembele’s fitness.

Luis Enrique says Ousmane Dembele’s injury is just fatigue ahead of PSG vs Arsenal

Enrique believes that Dembele’s injury is just a case of fatigue, playing down the need to be overly concerned about his fitness ahead of PSG’s clash against Arsenal.

The Spaniard said via Get French Football News: “I think it’s just fatigue.

“What we’re saying today is just speculation. But I don’t think there’s anything serious and there’s two weeks left.”

Why Declan Rice will be key to stop Ousmane Dembele in Champions League final

Judging by Luis Enrique’s comments, it seems like Dembele will be ready to start for PSG against Arsenal. While PSG are preparing for Arsenal’s set-piece tactics already, a skill Declan Rice has mastered, the Gunners must devise a method to ensure the England international can keep Dembele quiet.

The French superstar has been splendid as a false nine, roaming across the pitch to provide overloads while still scoring and creating goals at will. Dembele would want to drag Arsenal’s players away from their designated zones so that space opens up for his teammates to exploit.

As a result, Rice in particular will have to make sure that the former Barcelona forward does not get much time on the ball or space throughout the game to influence proceedings. The 27-year-old’s tireless presence could make life difficult for Dembele, who runs the show for this PSG side.
