At a Glance:
- Arsenal and Manchester City cannot afford to slip up if either wants to win the Premier League title
- West Ham could administer a shock defeat to the Gunners, according to one Chelsea hero
- Would mean that Manchester City are yet again within touching distance of the championship
With only three games left of the season to play in the Premier League, every win is vital for Arsenal and Manchester City, given that both sides are vying for the Premier League title.
If either team slips up, it would mean that the other side could easily gain the momentum to make a push for the trophy, with Arsenal currently on 76 points to City’s 71, despite the Mancunians having a game in hand.
Goal difference could also be a huge factor, given that Arsenal’s 41 GD is not much further out in front than the 37 of Pep Guardiola’s men, and either team could become league champions purely by thrashing one of their opponents if the points are equal between the two sides after the final day.
One great of English football has predicted that it will be the Gunners that will slip up this weekend, against relegation-battling West Ham, who are arguably as desperate as Arsenal to get three points at the London Stadium on Sunday.

John Obi Mikel states Arsenal will lose to West Ham, while Manchester City will win against Brentford
John Obi Mikel is a stalwart of the modern Chelsea era, having played for the West London side for 11 years from 2006 to 2017.
In his viral show, The Obi One Podcast, the Nigerian revealed his three predictions for Round 36 of the Premier League:
“The first pick, I’m going to pick my club, my team, Chelsea, to beat Liverpool away. My second team? I’m going to go for Manchester City to beat Brentford at home. My third pick—of course, Arsenal against West Ham—I’m going to go for [a] West Ham win at home.”
Obi ended his prediction with a sly wink at the camera, perhaps indicating that he is cautiously optimistic about the Hammers inflicting defeat against Arsenal.
What would these results mean for the Premier League table?
If Arsenal were to drop three points against West Ham and Manchester City emerge with a win from the Etihad against a high-flying Brentford, here is what the Premier League table would look like.
| Position (Team) | Games Played | Wins | Draws | Losses | Points |
| 1. Arsenal | 36 | 23 | 7 | 6 | 76 |
| 2. Manchester City | 35 | 22 | 8 | 5 | 74 |
