Arsenal travel to the London Stadium to go toe-to-toe with West Ham United in their upcoming Premier League fixture.

Following Manchester City’s 3-3 draw to Everton, Mikel Arteta’s side have the chance to take one step closer to winning the title by trouncing the Hammers.

Off the back of Arsenal’s win against Atletico Madrid to reach the Champions League final, the visitors will have a spring in their step ahead of their clash against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.

With Arsenal fans in high spirits after their latest victory, they will be expecting a victory and previewing the contest, Gary Neville predicted the winner.

Gary Neville says Arsenal will beat West Ham

Neville initially claimed on The Overlap’s Stick To Football podcast that he expects Arsenal to clinch the all-important three points against West Ham.

The Manchester United legend said: “Arsenal win, don’t they [Paul] Scholesy?”

While Gary Neville didn’t back Arsenal in the Champions League as his winners of the competition, the veteran expects them to beat West Ham 2-1 on the weekend.

“It’s going to go…I’m going to go, 2-1 Arsenal.”

Arsenal’s record against West Ham under Mikel Arteta

As things stand, the title race will not go down to goal difference if Arsenal win all their remaining league outings until the end of the season. Having dropped needless points since the turn of the year in particular, the North Londoners cannot afford to slip up yet again in their contest against the Irons.

While PSG are Arsenal’s opponents in the Champions League final, they cannot afford to let the landmark showdown impact their focus on their aim to win the league.

Arsenal have faced West Ham 13 times since Mikel Arteta’s time in charge.

Furthermore, the hosts will be desperate to get a result as they find themselves in a relegation battle.
