Arsenal legend Martin Keown believes that the Gunners should be ‘seriously considering Mauricio Pochettino’.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, as cited on the Express, the club’s former defender believes that Arsenal will be keeping a watchful eye on his situation after leaving Tottenham earlier this week.
There’s no need to panic at Arsenal, we are getting close to panic by the way, because we’re not having the best of seasons, but the powers that be at the top of the club should be seriously considering Pochettino.
I have a lot of admiration for what he did at Tottenham, the way he nurtured those young players and he didn’t spend a great deal of money.
Keown has been one of the more vocal ex-Arsenal players in recent weeks, as the pressure continues to rise on Unai Emery.

Unai Emery now finds himself in a tricky position, along with a number of other managers around Europe.
There would’ve been managers, like Emery, who would’ve realised that they were under pressure and now they’ve seen that increase tenfold after Pochettino’s departure.
As Harry Redknapp alluded to recently, managers will be looking over their shoulders knowing that Pochettino will be a man in demand, regardless of the way Tottenham’s season has started.
Knowing that there’s a chance they could get a deal agreed for the 47-year-old may tempt a few owners around Europe to wield the axe much sooner than what they previously would’ve done.
