Former Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes Mauricio Pochettino is a genuine contender to replace Unai Emery at Arsenal.
After being sacked by Spurs on Tuesday night, Redknapp thinks a swift return to North London could happen for Pochettino.
Speaking on talkSPORT, he said:
With Pochettino going from Tottenham, there will be one or two Premier League managers waking up this morning thinking, ‘oh my god, this ain’t too clever’.
And there will be one or two chairmen very excited this morning thinking if there’s any way they could get him in. What a signing he’d be.
There are clubs in London who are having a terrible time. Why shouldn’t he go to Arsenal if he wants to? You think the Arsenal fans wouldn’t love him there?

This would be one of the club’s most dramatic and controversial decisions in their recent history, but nothing is likely to happen in the near future you would think.
After five years in charge of Spurs, Pochettino will surely bide his time before taking his next job.
Many feel that his sacking was harsh and what a way to get one over his former side than by joining their biggest rivals.
Having previously been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern, he won’t be short of offers, but whether one of them comes from Arsenal remains to be seen.
It would be one hell of a statement from the Gunners.
