Arsenal, amongst other top Premier League clubs, have stated that they are not in favour of a breakaway from the Premier League, after it was reported that a new European Super League was being considered, as per BBC Sport.
Representatives from Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea joined those from Arsenal in a meeting where the format of European competitions and the International Champions Cup were discussed.
The ICC involves top European clubs competing against each other in pre-season tournaments.
An Arsenal spokesman discussed the proposed changes.

Not Arsenal, nor any clubs at the meeting, are seeking changes to the Premier League and European landscape and no conversations surrounding displacing the Premier League or starting a European super league took place.
UEFA expressed that there were ‘no concrete plans to change the format of European competitions’, but said they were constantly reviewing the format of their tournaments.

It is believed that teams wanting to create a new European league are ones in Europe and not the Premier League, as the financial strength of the BPL is much higher than others.
The Premier League refused to comment on the situation.
