Arsenal have reportedly agreed an increased sponsorship deal with Emirates worth around £70million per year, strengthening the club’s commercial position.
Performance-related bonuses could add a further £15million each season. Those payments will depend on Arsenal’s success in domestic and European competitions.
Gary Jacob reports for The Times that the agreement represents a major increase on the club’s present Emirates package, which is reportedly worth between £45million and £50million annually.
The existing agreement was due to run until 2028. Arsenal and Emirates have yet to announce the new terms officially.
Arsenal Emirates sponsorship deal strengthens finances
The renewed partnership is expected to retain Emirates Stadium’s naming rights and front-of-shirt sponsorship across Arsenal’s men’s and women’s teams.
Emirates has been associated with Arsenal since the club moved to its current stadium in 2006. The previous five-year extension was agreed in August 2023.
It remains unclear whether Arsenal’s separate training-kit agreement with the airline, reportedly worth around £10million annually, is included in the new £70million package.
The agreement continues a period of significant commercial growth in north London. ReadArsenal recently reported that the club had posted record revenue of £691million, with commercial income rising to £263.2million.
Arsenal are also beginning a new sleeve partnership with global payroll platform Deel. Combined with changes to the club’s catering operation, those agreements could generate another £30million this season.
The Emirates extension gives Arsenal greater long-term certainty while Andrea Berta continues strengthening Mikel Arteta’s squad. Reaching the maximum annual value would take the package to approximately £85million.
