  • Eli Junior Kroupi loves Arsenal legend.
  • Arsenal eyeing Kroupi.
  • 12 Premier League goals this season.

Being one of the most exciting young prospects in the Premier League, Eli Junior Kroupi seems to have predictably caught the eye of top clubs like Arsenal.

Arsenal target Kroupi fancies a big move away from AFC Bournemouth as the 19-year-old aspires to play at the highest level.

With 12 Premier League goals to his name this season, the Frenchman has been a revelation in his debut season in the English top-flight.

The youngster’s teammates know how gifted he is, with Marcus Tavernier predicting Kroupi to leave Bournemouth sooner rather than later.

If Mikel Arteta’s side win the double or even either one of the Premier League or the Champions League this campaign, they would have every chance of landing the former Lorient forward.

Eli Junior Kroupi would love to play with Arsenal icon Thierry Henry

In an interview with the Premier League’s official YouTube channel, Kroupi was asked which retired Premier League legend he would love to see join Bournemouth.

Stalwarts like Josh King, Sepp van den Berg, Martin Odegaard and Jacob Ramsey all picked arguably Arsenal’s greatest-ever player, Thierry Henry to play alongside them.

Kroupi was no different as he also said “Henry” with no hesitation.

Thierry Henry has already provided Eli Junior Kroupi verdict

The World Cup winner is one of the greatest footballers of all time, with even senior professionals like Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain singing Thierry Henry’s praises among many.

The retired striker is widely heralded as the best player in Premier League history alongside other icons such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Kevin De Bruyne, Wayne Rooney and Steven Gerrard among others.

The good news for Arsenal fans is that Thierry Henry rates Kroupi highly.

Henry told Sky Sports last Monday: “I thought of taking him when he was only 16 with the [French] Under-21s. That didn’t go down too well at the time because they were like, ‘He didn’t play with the Under-17s, didn’t play with the Under-18s, Under 19s’ but when you have that raw talent and that desire, age does not matter for me.

“He’s been proving that he’s a great goalscorer, I told you [Jamie Carragher], very Jermain Defoe-like when he’s in the box. He can play on the right, he can play on the left, he’s been used on the left. But he has an eye for a goal. He has a good future.”

Thierry Henry’s glowing assessment of Kroupi could potentially encourage club across Europe aside from Arsenal to take a closer look at signing him.
