At a Glance:

  • Tino Livramento could affect Arsenal in the transfer market.
  • Arsenal eyeing Brazilian international.
  • Arsenal target could cost £43 million.

One of the players Arsenal have been linked with ahead of the summer transfer window is Newcastle United right-back Tino Livramento.

Arsenal have been monitoring Livramento for a while and understandably so, considering the Englishman is one of the best right-backs in the Premier League.

Livramento could leave Newcastle in the summer, giving Mikel Arteta’s side the chance to secure his services.

However, the former Southampton wonderkid could play a role in the club’s pursuit of Wesley Franca.

Arsenal’s move for Wesley Franca depends on Tino Livramento

Calciomercato have revealed that Arsenal, alongside Manchester City, Real Madrid, Newcastle and Tottenham Hotspur have all ‘taken note’ of Wesley’s brilliant displays in a Roma shirt.

The Brazilian is enjoying a fruitful debut season in Rome, registering five goals and two assists.

With Livramento yet to extend his contract, Arsenal and the rest of his suitors will only make a move for Wesley depending on the former’s future plans.

The Croydon-born defender’s valuation stands at £60 million while the Roma star is expected to cost €50 million (£43 million).

Comparing Tino Livramento and Wesley Franca’s stats this season

With Ben White’s future up in the air, there is no doubt that the Gunners could be in need of a brand-new right-back come next season.

In the process of trying to reinforce the position, Arsenal will perhaps need to compare how Livramento and Wesley stack up to each other based on their performances this season.

Out of the nine metrics in question, Wesley triumphed in five of them.

However, it seems like Arsenal’s dream target remains Livramento, who is also Premier League-proven.
