- Arsenal are eyeing one of the Premier League’s best wingers.
- The likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Yan Diomande have been linked.
- Bayern Munich have held talks to sign the Arsenal target.
It seems like Arsenal’s plan in the summer of 2026 is to sign a brand-new winger.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is on Arsenal’s radar, and the Gunners’ decision to target a forward of the Georgian’s stature suggests that they mean business in the summer.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain intend to keep Kvaratskhelia but the Emirates faithful would appreciate that the club are seemingly showing ambition ahead of the forthcoming transfer window.
Yan Diomande has caught Arsenal’s eye as well, a player who has also emerged as one of Europe’s premier left-wingers since heading to RB Leipzig last year.
Additionally, Arsenal have also shown interest in Anthony Gordon.
Bayern Munich hold talks to sign Arsenal target Anthony Gordon
Football Transfers have also revealed that the Gunners’ interest in the Newcastle United wideman stems from Mikel Arteta’s intention to build an English core of players at the club.
With Newcastle demanding over £100 million for Gordon, only time will tell whether the North Londoners break the bank to secure the former Everton speedster’s services.
However, journalist Florian Plettenberg has now reported that Bayern Munich are “seriously considering” making a move to sign the 25-year-old.

The 25 y/o is currently the preferred candidate for the left wing as a back-up and competitor for Luis Díaz.

Vincent Kompany’s side view Gordon as the ideal candidate to compete with Luis Diaz for a starting spot and serve as his understudy.
It is believed that Gordon has been informed about Bayern’s interest and “concrete talks have taken place” but Bayern and Newcastle are yet to have held any discussions over a potential move.
Arsenal eyeing Anthony Gordon alternative
With the Englishman having plenty of experience under his belt as a Premier League player, one can understand why the league leaders may presume that he could end up as a plug-and-play signing.
However, Arsenal are eyeing Yankuba Minteh as well, who is widely considered one of the most gifted wingers in the English top-flight.
| Stats in all competitions | Anthony Gordon | Yankuba Minteh |
| Starts | 36 | 21 |
| Goals | 17 | 2 |
| Assists | 5 | 4 |
While Minteh is a right-winger by trade, he has also operated as a left-winger on several occasions this season — especially in recent weeks against the likes of Sunderland, Liverpool, Burnley and Arsenal.
As a result, if Mikel Arteta and Co lose out on Gordon’s signing, all the speculation about their transfer plans indicate that they will have alternatives such as the Gambian in mind.
