At A Glance:
- Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is on Arsenal’s summer shortlist.
- A report has claimed they have ‘taken steps’ towards a move.
- They have also been hit with a financial roadblock.
Much has been made of Arsenal’s summer transfer pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain and Georgia talisman Khvicha Kvaratskhelia but the Gunners have been hit with a roadblock, according to CaughtOffside.
Despite being on course to win the Premier League and becoming the champions of Europe for the first time in their history, Mikel Arteta’s men are going to subject to plenty of summer changes.
In terms of incomings, the current table-toppers are looking at improving their left wing position – and Vinicius Jr is reportedly on their radar.

With the respective futures of Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli currently hanging in the balance, it is abundantly clear that improving Arsenal’s left wing options is at the top of their priority list come the season’s end.
Arsenal’s move for PSG’s Kvaratskhelia hits financial roadblock
A blockbuster move for Real Madrid’s Vinicius, though, would be one that could cost them an arm and a leg – and Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United could come as a cheaper alternative to the Brazilian.
Elsewhere, Kvaratskhelia has been identified as a potential option.
According to a report from Caught Offside, the Gunners have recently taken steps to explore a potential move for the PSG man – but they are not the only team who are interested in his signature.
That said, the report has claimed that Luis Enrique and his entourage have issued a hands-off notice on the 25-year-old, who has plundered 21 goal involvements (13 goals and eight assists) this term.
“Arsenal’s recruitment team would have really liked to sign Kvaratskhelia, but PSG have bolted the door,” one Caught Offside source explained.

A number of sources claimed that PSG hadn’t set an asking price for the lightning-quick wide man – but one claimed that Arsenal would need to table a bid of €180 million to convince the French side to even consider selling.
Ever since his move from Napoli in the summer of January 2025, the one-time Champions League winner has been a pivotal part of PSG’s plans.
They, as a result, don’t want to lose him at any cost… unless the price is a record-breaking one. Elsewhere, it’s no secret 2001-born Khvicha Kvaratskhelia would be a ceiling-raiser for the Gunners.
Kvaratskhelia would be Arsenal’s most important signing since… Declan Rice
Declan Rice moved from West Ham United to Arsenal in the summer of 2023 for a fee in excess of £100 million but he’s been worth every penny if you ask any member of the Emirates faithful. And they’d be right, wouldn’t they?
The all-action midfielder – alongside the likes of Bruno Fernandes and his teammate Gabriel – is in contention to be named the Premier League’s Player of the Year.
His arrival transformed the Gunners’ engine room and has been the club’s marquee addition of the decade but that would change in the event that Kvaratskhelia walked through the door at N5.

It would take Arsenal’s chances of winning silverware year-on-year to an unfathomable level. From a defensive perspective, Arsenal are nothing short of resolute but they have struggled to produce but they could use some prowess moving forward.
Just imagine Bukayo Saka on the right, a fresh striker or an improved Viktor Gyokeres at the sharp end of the pitch and Kvaratskhelia – also known as Kvaradona – on the left. It would boost Arteta’s side and their firepower in tenfold.
