Arsenal, despite losing the Carabao Cup final to Manchester City on Sunday, are still on course to win three trophies this season. Whether they do it is another question but they are still looking towards the summer with targets in mind.
The 2025/26 season could turn monumental for the Gunners, who are still fighting on three fronts. At the time of writing, they are top of the Premier League and still in two competitions – the FA Cup and the Champions League.
Mikel Arteta, thanks to his spending last summer, has a squad stacked with quality and he’ll be looking to turn that into silverware for his side’s trophy cabinet.

Having overtaken Liverpool as the best team in the country, that could have serious ramifications for the summer transfer window – and reports have suggested that Arteta and his entourage have been offered the chance to hijack Liverpool’s plans.
Arsenal offered chance to sign Liverpool-linked midfielder
Arne Slot’s side, after winning last season’s Premier League title at a relative canter, have been entirely off the boil in 2025/26. That’s despite spending a chunk of money on Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz!
And things could become bad to worse for the current champions of England as reports have insisted that Arsenal could swoop in and land a deal for one of their summer targets.
Liverpool – as a means of reinforcing their engine room – have kept an eye on Real Madrid ace Eduardo Camavinga for a while.
The Frenchman currently plays in the Spanish capital but has found game time hard to come by with just 12 La Liga starts to his name this term.
What could play into Arsenal’s hands, though, is the fact that Camavinga is reportedly eyeing a team that are playing in the Champions League in 2026/27.

“Arsenal are keen to move away from a model they used in the past where they’d sign players because of availability or relationships with key agents or intermediaries,” CaughtOffside‘s source explained.
“They’ve been offered Camavinga but they’ll only go for it if they’re convinced it’s right for them. For now, they have other preferred targets.”
Arsenal have all-but guaranteed themselves a spot in Europe’s most prestigious competition for next season but the same cannot be said for Liverpool.
Manchester United, too, could look to enter the race for the 23-year-old thanks to their form since Michael Carrick’s arrival – but you’d argue that Arsenal are a more attractive option right now as they look on course to win the Premier League.
The Arsenal-Real Madrid relationship could streamline Camavinga move
Moving from Los Blancos is never easy for a player given they are leaving behind a guarantee of silverware – but the Gunners could offer the France international more minutes and the chance to become a key part of Arteta’s evolution.
On paper, it would be a rather simple transfer to make because of the relationship between Arsenal and his current employers.
Martin Odegaard and Dani Ceballos have endured loan moves between the two in previous years – the former, of course, became permanent.

Sandro Tonali of Newcastle United is another – and Premier League-proven – option that is on the radar of Arsenal it has been reported.
Although Eduardo Camavinga hasn’t endured the most luck this season under Xabi Alonso and now Alvaro Arbeloa, he’s still very talented and could add expertise to the Arsenal midfield.
