Peter Crouch has been named in Tottenham’s ‘Team of the Decade’ on social media ahead of Harry Kane.
Spurs ran polls on Twitter on Monday for fans to select their best XI over the last 10 years.
Plenty of stars still at the club made the cut, but when it came to a striker, captain Harry Kane missed out on a place in the side, mainly due to Liverpool supporters.

Calls for Crouch to get the nod over Kane went viral, and in the end, the former Liverpool and Spurs striker received 61% of the vote compared to Kane’s 32%, with 597,689 votes recorded during the 24 hours.
Arsenal fans got wind of the attempted sabotage on Monday evening, which led to @PatrickTimmons1 sharing this tweet regarding Liverpool supporter’s antics.

It received plenty of interaction, with these Arsenal and Liverpool fans coming together at Spurs’ expense.

In 2019, a poll like that always had the possibility to end in tears.
In fairness, Crouch was still a top striker for Spurs, but he didn’t have the natural goal-scoring ability that Kane possesses.
