“No one wants him” – Arsenal fans are loving club’s doubts on Marcelino

Both Arsenal and Everton have been linked with a move for former Valencia boss Marcelino this week.

The Gunners have reportedly even been in discussions with the Spaniard over the possibility of succeeding Unai Emery on a long-term basis.

Marcelino was surprisingly given the boot by Valencia back in September, just months after guiding the LaLiga side to Copa del Rey glory against Barcelona.

However, according to reporter Kike Martin, Arsenal are now having doubts over the 54-year-old.

The news was shared on social media by Gunners page @afcstuff, which then led to these Arsenal fans sharing their relief at the club’s latest view.

Both Emery and Marcelino have had spells at Sevilla and Valencia. The latter has only managed in his naitive country, so it would be a huge risk bringing him to north London.

The Gunners desperately need to get the right man in charge and could even be tempted into waiting until the summer before making a decision.

Marcelino is extremely experienced in Spain, but we’re with these fans in welcoming the club’s doubts regarding a potential appointment.
