Both Arsenal and Everton have been linked with a move for former Valencia boss Marcelino this week.

The Gunners have reportedly even been in discussions with the Spaniard over the possibility of succeeding Unai Emery on a long-term basis.

Both Emery and Marcelino have had spells at Sevilla and Valencia. The latter has only managed in his naitive country, so it would be a huge risk bringing him to north London.

The Gunners desperately need to get the right man in charge and could even be tempted into waiting until the summer before making a decision.
