Schar discussing Newcastle move with Xhaka
Newcastle United defender Fabian Schar has been discussing the prospect of a move to Tyneside with Granit Xhaka.
According to The Telegraph, Schar has been telling his fellow countryman all about the city and the club as Steve Bruce’s side consider a January swoop.
It is claimed that Newcastle are interested in a loan deal if the player wants to remain in the Premier League.

This will all come down to Xhaka’s mindset and where he sees himself playing his football going forward.
There have been reports of interest from Italy, so it doesn’t look like he’ll be short of offers when the January window rolls around.
However, after an unhappy time at Arsenal, it remains to be how keen he would be to stay in England.
On the other hand, the opportunity to prove his worth and show what he is really capable of, alongside another Swiss international in Schar, could be quite an exciting prospect for the player.
With the likes of Milan being linked, it’s fair to say that a move to join Newcastle would have to be considered as a step down, but he if has an ‘I’ll show you’ attitude, he could go on to thrive at St James’ Park.
