Manchester United hope to sign Arsenal target Erling Braut Haaland as part of a triple January swoop.

According to a report from 90min, Haaland is one of three Norwegian players that United want to target in January.

It is claimed that they will move for Haaland, Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer and Genk midfielder Sander Berge.

How much of a blow is this to Arsenal’s hopes of landing the young striker?

Haaland, who has scored 15 goals in all competitions already this season, was linked with a move to Arsenal recently, but it’s looking increasingly likely that he’ll have bigger and better suitors elsewhere.

It may work in United’s favour that they are also targetting other Norwegian players, who Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will no doubt know all too well.

A host of top European clubs have been linked with Haaland, so having that Norwegian connection could help them secure a deal.

It’s great to see that Arsenal are targetting these young players and thinking about their future, but it seems like they may have to look elsewhere this time around.
