La Liga leaders Barcelona are interested in moves for Arsenal’s Nacho Monreal and Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno this summer, according to Sport via the Daily Mail.
With both players out of contract at the end of the season, Ernesto Valverde is reportedly eyeing up the duo to provide cover for first-choice left-back Jordi Alba for the next two years.
The Spanish giants tied Alba down to a new five-year contract, including a release clause worth £428million, on Thursday ahead of the league run-in where they will aim to clinch their 26th La Liga trophy.

Sport claim that Barcelona want a low-cost option ahead of the 2019-20 campaign and have already made contact with ‘some’ of their targets, which also reportedly include Atletico Madrid’s current back-up Filipe Luis.
Monreal has featured 21 times in all competitions under Unai Emery this season and is now one of the more experienced members of the squad, so he’ll be a loss for the Gunners whether he leaves on a free transfer or not.
Now 33, it’s no secret that the Spaniard is reaching the end of his career at the Emirates Stadium, where he’s won three FA Cups and FA Community Shields.
