Arsenal left it late but ultimately secured all three points against Everton at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners dominated possession throughout the contest but struggled to break down a stubborn Everton defence for long spells. Mikel Arteta’s side continued to push forward and were eventually rewarded late on when Viktor Gyokeres broke the deadlock.
The introduction of Max Dowman proved decisive, with the youngster injecting energy and creativity into Arsenal’s attack before grabbing his first Premier League goal to seal a 2-0 victory.

Had little to do for most of the evening but remained alert when called upon. Produced a solid save in the second half and distributed the ball well as Arsenal controlled possession.

Worked hard down the left flank and was solid defensively. His attacking delivery could have been sharper but it was still a steady display.

Covered enormous ground and broke up Everton transitions repeatedly. Also carried the ball forward effectively when Arsenal needed urgency.

Worked tirelessly on the right and tried to drive at his defender. Lacked the decisive moment but remained a threat.
