Inter enter talks with Sampdoria over deal for Arsenal target Andersen

Inter Milan’s move to sign Joachim Andersen from Sampdoria is ‘well underway’, according to claims from Calciomercato.

The Denmark international has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent times, with reports indicating that Arsenal were among the interested parties.

However, after reportedly firming up their interest in signing the promising defender, it’s stated by Calciomercato that Inter have entered discussions with Sampdoria as they pursue a deal for Andersen.

Andersen has been playing well for Sampdoria and has emerged as a standout performer, featuring in 10 Serie A outings for his side.

Arsenal are reported to be expressing an interest in landing the defender as they continue to weigh up their options ahead of the January transfer window, but Inter appear to have stolen a march.

The Italian giants’ sporting director Piero Ausilio is reported by Calciomercato to have initiated contact with Sampdoria as he plans a move to bring Andersen to San Siro ahead of next summer.
