Alexandre Lacazette has claimed his close bond with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will help the pair become one of the most prolific striking duos the Premier League has had the good fortune to witness.
Both forwards were on target in Sunday’s 3-2 victory against Cardiff City, in what was the first occasion this season that new boss Unai Emery had started the duo.

With Aubameyang playing on the left wing, Lacazette was given the nod at striker – and it paid off.
The Frenchman thinks the reason for their success goes beyond their God-given talents as footballers, however.
In an interview with the club website, Lacazette said:
When you’re friends off the pitch, it’s easier for you to play well together on it,
We work a lot in training, every day we work together and with the other players as well. Today it was good because I could assist his goal and it was a good finish from him.
I wanted to start well and prove to the coach that I could be in the first XI. I started for the first time this season, so I was happy. Even if we made some mistakes, I think it was a good game.
If Arsenal are to enjoy success this season, Emery unlocking both Aubameyang and Lacazette will be key to achieving the club’s lofty goals.
