Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has issued an update on three of his players ahead of Thursday’s Europa League semi-final clash with Atletico Madrid.
Football.London report that Henrik Mkhitaryan, Alex Iwobi and David Ospina will all be assessed ahead of the trip to Madrid.
Mkhitaryan made his first start in six weeks against his former club Manchester United at the weekend and managed to find the target before being forced off with a knock to his knee.
Iwobi and Ospina both played the full 90 minutes at Old Trafford, but Wenger revealed after the match they too were suffering with knocks:
Mkhitaryan, I took off because he had a little knock on his knee again, the same thing, just looking at him in the dressing room. Ospina has a rib problem and Alex Iwobi has a hamstring problem. We’ll see how everyone recovers because Thursday will come around very quickly.

The tie sits at 1-1 following the first leg, with Alexandre Lacazette’s strike being cancelled out by his French teammate Antione Griezmann.
Arsenal now know that they must score at least once if they are to make it through to the final and give Wenger the chance of winning his first and only European trophy with the Gunners.
When asked if any of the trio were definitely ruled out, Wenger said:
Definitely at the moment? No, but we will have to monitor them in the next 48 hours. We will know more on Tuesday.
