Three Stars of the Match: West Brom 2-1 Arsenal

Arsenal took West Bromwich Albion on at the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon and came away dejected after a 2-1 loss. The Gunners will certainly be feeling the disappointing performance when they look at the league table afterward.

The visitors took the lead with a headed goal from Olivier Giroud, but things quickly went downhill when James McClean assisted James Morrison to make it 1-1 and Francis Coquelin went down injured. Coquelin’s replacement, Mikel Arteta, put his own team away with an avoidable own goal and later went off with a calf injury. Arsene Wenger will be rightly furious with his team as a result of the final score and the way it happened.

Here are the Three Stars of the Match.
