Bukayo Saka earned praise for his individual display despite England suffering a 3-2 Nations League defeat against Spain at Wembley.
The Arsenal winger started on the right for Thomas Tuchel’s side and played 83 minutes before being replaced by Morgan Gibbs-White.
England briefly recovered from Lamine Yamal’s early opener through goals from Anthony Gordon and Harry Kane, but second-half strikes from Alex Baena and Mikel Oyarzabal secured victory for Spain.
Sky Sports’ match report confirms the 3-2 result, with Arsenal also represented by Ezri Konsa and Myles Lewis-Skelly in England’s starting XI.
Saka earns praise despite England defeat
Express Sport, whose ratings were published by AOL, awarded Saka 7/10.
The report highlighted his sharp combination play with Jude Bellingham and described the 25-year-old as England’s most dangerous attacking outlet during part of the first half.
Saka also went close to restoring England’s lead after the break before eventually being withdrawn.
It was not a decisive performance in terms of goals or assists, and other ratings were less generous, but Saka again carried significant attacking responsibility against elite opposition.

Saka was one of five Arsenal players originally selected for England duty before Declan Rice withdrew.
The immediate positive for Mikel Arteta is that Saka completed his 83-minute involvement without any reported fitness problem.
