Sam Wallace reports for The Telegraph that Mourinho has made his position clear to the Real Madrid hierarchy. The Portuguese coach wants the club’s leading players retained following his return to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Mourinho’s stance creates an immediate obstacle for Arsenal. However, the final decision may depend on whether Madrid can reach an agreement with Vinicius over a new contract.
The Brazil international has entered the final 12 months of his current terms. Madrid risk losing him without a transfer fee next summer if negotiations continue to stall.
