Christian Norgaard is expected to remain at Arsenal this summer, despite continuing speculation over a possible return to Brondby.
Norgaard made only 1,040 minutes of appearances across all competitions last season. However, Danish transfer expert Farzam Abolhosseini does not expect the 32-year-old to leave the Emirates Stadium during the current window.
Speaking on the Transferguru podcast, as reported by Tipsbladet, Abolhosseini said a Brondby move was “not an option in this window” and added that he would be shocked if it happened.
Norgaard began his professional career with Brondby and could eventually return to the Danish club. However, his long-standing support for Arsenal is considered an important part of his current position.
He joined the Gunners from Brentford last summer and has one year remaining on his contract. Arsenal also hold an option to extend the agreement until 2028.

Norgaard has struggled to secure regular starts, but Arteta continues to value his professionalism and tactical discipline. The Denmark international can provide cover in defensive midfield and has also filled other roles when required.

Norgaard’s limited playing time may continue if another midfielder arrives. Nevertheless, Abolhosseini believes the opportunity to represent the club he supported growing up remains too important for him to abandon after one season.
