Arsenal have reportedly agreed a fee with Leicester City for 16-year-old winger Jeremy Monga, moving Mikel Arteta’s side closer to landing one of English football’s most coveted young attackers.
The teenager has been on Arsenal’s radar throughout the early summer window, with the Gunners pushing to add another elite academy-age talent to a pathway that already includes Max Dowman, Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly.
According to talkSPORT’s latest Jeremy Monga transfer report, Arsenal have now reached an agreement with Leicester over a deal worth around £10million.
Monga deal would underline Arsenal’s youth-first squad build
Monga became Leicester’s second-youngest Premier League player after making his senior debut at 15, then built on that breakthrough with regular Championship minutes. His pace, direct carrying and left-sided threat have made him a target for several Premier League and European clubs.
For Arsenal, the significance is bigger than one youth signing. Arteta’s champions are trying to strengthen the first-team group while also protecting the next cycle of talent, and Monga would arrive as a long-term attacking project rather than an instant senior starter.
The deal is not yet an official club announcement, so Arsenal supporters should wait for confirmation before treating it as complete. But after earlier reports of a rejected bid, an agreed fee would represent a clear step forward in a pursuit that has gathered momentum quickly.
