Andria Bartishvili has denied claims that he has already agreed a move to Arsenal, with Liverpool and Paris FC also pushing for the Georgia Under-21 midfielder.
The 17-year-old has emerged as one of the more intriguing academy-level targets of Arsenal’s summer, but the latest update suggests there is no completed deal for Mikel Arteta’s side.
According to talkSPORT’s report on Bartishvili’s future, the player reshared a Georgian reporter’s post denying that an agreement with Arsenal had been reached, while confirming talks remain ongoing.
Arsenal Face A Live Transfer Race
Bartishvili is currently on loan at Iberia 1999 from Kolkheti Poti and has already made 35 senior appearances, scoring twice and adding two assists since moving for the 2026 campaign.
Any English move would have to wait until after his 18th birthday in March 2027, which makes this a pre-contract and pathway battle rather than an immediate first-team addition.
That is where the competition matters. Liverpool are reported to have made an identical offer, while Paris FC are said to be proposing clearer first-team football. Bartishvili and his representatives are expected to decide after Iberia’s Champions League qualifier against Flora Tallinn next month.
For Arsenal, the denial is not a collapse, but it does cool the idea that this deal is already boxed off.
