Arsenal supporters can now start planning the 2026/27 Premier League season after the full fixture list was released.
The Arsenal fixtures hand Mikel Arteta’s champions a Friday night opener against Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium on 21 August, before a campaign packed with title-defence tests, derby dates and key away days. For supporters, this is the first proper shape of the season.
Arsenal will begin under the lights at home to Frank Lampard’s newly promoted Coventry side. It looks kind on paper, but opening weekends can be awkward when a promoted team arrive with belief and freedom.
That makes the first night important. Arteta will want control, rhythm and an early reminder that Arsenal intend to defend their title with authority.
Chelsea And Manchester City Stand Out Early
After the Coventry opener, Arsenal’s early weeks include an away trip to Aston Villa before Chelsea visit the Emirates on Saturday 5 September.
That Chelsea game already feels like an early marker. It will test Arsenal’s sharpness after a disrupted summer and show how quickly the champions have settled back into league rhythm.

The Manchester City fixture also jumps out. Arsenal host City on Saturday 28 November, in what could become one of the first defining title-race moments of the campaign.
That match will carry even more weight if both sides make strong starts. Arsenal have spent years measuring themselves against City, and this season brings a different challenge: staying ahead rather than chasing.
December Gives Arsenal A Festive Test
December gives Arsenal supporters several dates to circle.
The North London derby away at Tottenham comes on Saturday 5 December, adding immediate edge to the festive run. Arsenal then host Manchester United on Saturday 19 December before travelling to Crystal Palace on Boxing Day.
That is a demanding block. It brings emotion, intensity and travel in a short space of time.
It will also test Arteta’s squad management. ReadArsenal has already covered why Arsenal’s hectic pre-season schedule raised concerns ahead of the new campaign, and those workload questions will not disappear once winter arrives.
If Arsenal want to retain the title, this is the kind of period they must control. Dropping standards in December can change the feel of a title race quickly.
Final Day At The Emirates Could Carry Huge Weight
Arsenal end their league season at home to Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday 30 May.
A final-day home fixture always brings a sense of possibility. If the title race goes deep, the Emirates could stage another huge afternoon for Arteta’s side.
Before that, Arsenal face Tottenham away on Saturday 1 May, which gives the run-in a major derby storyline. A North London derby in May is never just another fixture, especially if Champions League places or the title race remain alive.
ReadArsenal has already looked at the Arsenal squad details heading into 2026/27, and the fixture list now shows exactly why depth will matter.
The opener gives Arsenal a platform. The City and Tottenham games bring the pressure points. The final day against Brighton gives supporters a date to dream about.
Arsenal now know the route. The title defence starts here.
