On Martin Zubimendi’s post-match Instagram post where he was pictured lifting the league title on Sunday, Saliba dubbed him “Xavi [Hernandez]”, followed by a ‘heart eyes emoji’ in the comments section.
Meanwhile, Jurrien Timber added a pair of ‘applause emojis’ followed by a heart.
Christhian Mosquera also commented, writing: “Zubinhooooo.”
It is clear to see that Zubimendi, who was consoled by Arsenal players after they lost 2-1 to AFC Bournemouth is a well-liked member of the squad.

The Spaniard has the chance to win an unprecedented double at the Emirates Stadium as Arsenal face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Saturday.
When the European Championship winner left his boyhood club Real Sociedad, he would have hoped to have helped the English giants win a major trophy.
Zubimendi, alongside the likes of Saliba, Timber and Mosquera has managed to do so by winning the Premier League and in doing so, he has also etched his name into the club’s history books.
Zubimendi has joined Jens Lehmann in Arsenal folklore by being only the second player in Premier League history to play every minute of the campaign while also lifting the title.
