Arsenal could be on the brink of winning the Premier League title by the end of play on Wednesday, as Manchester City host Crystal Palace at the Etihad.
There are five games left to play in the title race, and the Gunners know that is two results go their way, their status as champions is guaranteed. If City drop points against Palace on Wednesday night, then Arsenal will have the opportunity to win the title on home soil against Burnley on Monday.
If Pep Guardiola’s side claim all three points against the Eagles, by beating Burnley, Mikel Arteta’s team can then put the Citizens in a position where they’re fighting to stay in the race when they visit Bournemouth next week.
In the midst of all this excitement over potential silverware, plenty of stories are bubbling under the surface. With that said, here is the latest Arsenal news today, including updates on the Champions League final, Ben White and Christian Norgaard.
Arsenal to wear red in Champions League final
Alongside their Premier League title aspirations, the Gunners have hopes of being crowned champions of Europe for the very first time later this month. They play Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on May 30th in Budapest.
It’s now been confirmed that they will walk out onto the pitch at the Puskas Arena in their famous red and white colours. As the designated away side, there were fears amongst fans that Arsenal would be forced to wear their third kit, particularly after PSG released a new home shirt with a huge red stripe down the middle last week.

However, the Standard have revealed that both teams will wear their 2025/26 home shirts in Hungary, satisfying both sets of supporters.
Ben White out for the rest of the season

Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow ahead of this Champions League final. SunSport broke the news on Tuesday afternoon that Ben White will miss the remaining two league games, as well as this clash with PSG.
The defender limped off the pitch at the London Stadium after just 28 minutes on Sunday, visibly wincing and unable to put pressure on his leg. It’s now been revealed that he suffered an MCL injury and may even miss this summer’s World Cup altogether.
Arteta now has a huge decision on his hands heading into the final three matches, with no senior right-back available. Cristhian Mosquera is likely to fill in for the next two fixtures, with the hope being that Jurrien Timber will make a recovery before the showdown in Budapest.
Christian Norgaard announces Denmark retirement

One man who is unlikely to be called up in White’s absence, and may not feature for Arsenal again, is Christian Norgaard. The Dane has been on the periphery of Arteta’s plans this season, and it appears he’s already mapping out the rest of his career.
Norgaard announced on Tuesday that he’s retiring from international duty. Denmark failed to qualify for the World Cup, and he subsequently felt this was the right moment to call time on his international career.
“I have decided to retire from international football,” the midfielder wrote on Instagram.
“On the one hand, it has been a difficult decision, because there is almost nothing I love more than linking up with my teammates and staff at Marienlyst. There is also almost nothing I love more than playing matches in red and white in front of a sold-out, expectant Parken.
“It has been an easy decision, because I want to spend more time with my family, and after the missed World Cup qualification, it also feels natural to make room for the talented and ambitious youngsters Denmark is still fortunate to have.”
