Leandro Trossard’s one and only goal was enough for Arsenal to win 1-0 against West Ham United and take one more step towards becoming Premier League champions.
West Ham made life difficult for Arsenal and could have opened the scoring themselves had Mateus Fernandes had not fluffed his lines earlier.
However, the Gunners got over the line at the London Stadium. Pablo’s foul on David Raya has drawn criticism, as some believe Callum Wilson’s goal should have stood while others disagree.
According to Gary Neville, what has become indisputable after watching Mikel Arteta’s side in action on Sunday is that they will win the league.

Gary Neville expects Arsenal to win the Premier League next Tuesday
Speaking on Sky Sports’ The Gary Neville podcast, the pundit claimed Arsenal will win the Premier League next Tuesday as he expects Manchester City to drop points against AFC Bournemouth.
“I think City beat Palace, I think Arsenal beat Burnley and I think Arsenal win it, Tuesday night on the 19th of May by City not doing the job at Bournemouth. Look, it can happen all sorts of different ways and Manchester City, to be fair have got that ability to go right until the end.”
Gary Neville believes Bournemouth could be a tricky side for Manchester City to topple, and with fixtures coming thick and fast for Pep Guardiola’s men, they will lose the title next week.
“But I think this is a hammer blow for City really. They’ve got the game on Wednesday against Palace, they’ve got the cup final against Chelsea on Saturday so they can win a domestic double, which is a big achievement by the way and deserve some congratulations if they go and do it. And then they go to Bournemouth on Tuesday and I think that might be a step too far with how Bournemouth are right now.
“Being [Andoni] Iraola’s last game at Bournemouth and just the fact that they’re a good side. I called this today a dog of a game for Arsenal. I think the game on Tuesday a week later is a dog of a game for Manchester City.”
Manchester City’s record against Bournemouth
Manchester City and Bournemouth have gone toe-to-toe 19 times in the Premier League.
| Manchester City’s record vs Bournemouth | Premier League stats |
| Matches | 19 |
| Wins | 18 |
| Draws | 0 |
| Losses | 1 |
City have won 18 and lost just one of 19 matches.
However, the one and only defeat emerged last season when Andoni Iraola’s side beat the Sky Blues 2-1.
Considering Bournemouth are on a 16-game unbeaten run in the league, Gary Neville’s prediction has weight to it as they could stun Manchester City and hand Arsenal the title.
