Arsenal supporters witnessed one of the best nights in their recent history as Mikel Arteta’s side beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 to reach the Champions League final.

Another player who thrived on Tuesday night was Ben White and the fanbase have taken to X to heap praise on him.

One Arsenal fan paid tribute to White’s sacrifices over the years and how excellent he was against Atletico Madrid, writing: “Benjamin White. Trust me, I will never forget your services to my football club. Rolled back the years with a superb display. Body on [the] line, playing through pain during his best years. Warrior, soldier, fighter, fan’s favourite.”

Read Arsenal gave White an 8/10 rating against Atletico Madrid, with another supporter claiming: “Ben White, I will never let them talk you down, brother. You have given far too much to this club to deserve that.”

A third fan claimed that it will be a challenge for the Gunners to find a right-back as comfortable in possession as him if White leaves Arsenal: “He’s been affected by the injuries but whoever replaces Ben White, all the best with replacing his on-the-ball ability…special stuff with [Bukayo] Saka.”

Another supporter singled the 28-year-old out as one of the best players for the hosts against the Spanish giants, stating: “[Viktor] Gyokeres, Ben White, Myles [Lewis-Skelly], [Declan] Rice, our CBs [centre-backs, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes]. Incredible performances.”

Similarly, a fifth Arsenal fan claimed that while Gyokeres stepped up against Atletico Madrid, the same applies to White: “Big up Gyokeres obviously. But Ben White”, followed by two ‘applause emojis.’

A sixth fan mentioned that the former Brighton & Hove Albion star’s latest display was unforgettable, writing: “Ben White. I will not forget this performance. We’re going to Budapest.”

White must be feeling overwhelmed by all the positivity coming his way from Arsenal fans after he excelled against Atletico Madrid.

However, the England international deserves plenty of credit for keeping Ademola Lookman quiet.

White’s handball against Atletico Madrid, whilst controversial was a decision that could have cost the North Londoners had Diego Simeone’s side won on Tuesday night.

However, Arsenal emerged victorious against Atletico Madrid and White’s statistics emphasise his role in the victory.
