Arsenal fans worldwide will be desperate for the 2025/2026 campaign to go down as one for the ages in their storied history, despite losing three out of their last four games in all competitions.
With even Gary Neville noting that Manchester City “smell blood” after the Gunners’ 2-1 loss against AFC Bournemouth, it would be catastrophic for Arsenal if they fail to clasp the Premier League title once again this term.
Mikel Arteta’s side have a six-point lead at the top of the league table but crucially, City also have a game in hand against Crystal Palace and host the North Londoners at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Arteta, the players as well as the staff will be focusing on the here and now of aspiring to become Premier League winners and lifting the Champions League. However, the club seem to be focusing on next season simultaneously — with the Gunners’ rumoured home and away kits for the 2026/2027 campaign emerging online.
Arsenal fans react to rumoured new kits after Bournemouth loss
With Arsenal struggling against Bournemouth, it’s safe to assume that the timing of the rumoured new kits may be called under question. While some supporters were far from complimentary about the kits on X, other frustrated fans felt that as things stand, the focus at the club should solely be on winning silverware.
One angered Arsenal fan bluntly commented: “No one is buying. Read the room. Get us some silverware!”
Another supporter was equally as irate, as they wrote: “They should wear the same kit for the next decade if they don’t win the title.”
A third Arsenal fan was not a fan of the rumoured home shirt for the following campaign, predicting the club to struggle next season: “Smells like a 6th place finish kit.”

Another supporter also had similar views, as they felt the shirt reminded them of Manchester City’s home strip last season, a campaign in which they underwhelmed and ultimately failed to win a single trophy: “City ’24/25 signs…”
A fifth Arsenal fan questioned why such rumoured kits were even being leaked in the first place, asking: “What’s the essence of this when the season is crashing down?”
Finally, a sixth supporter lambasted the kits by writing: “Nobody cares,” and following up his comment with a hashtag that read: “Bottle jobs.”

Mikel Arteta must get over the line to get Arsenal fans on his side
Ultimately, it is easy to understand why the Arsenal fanbase seem to be in no mood to be raving about new shirts as in recent weeks, they have been eliminated from both the Carabao Cup and the FA Cup.
Manchester City could leapfrog Arsenal in the Premier League table after capitalising on their latest loss to Bournemouth if they manage to go on one of their signature winning runs as well.
While history is against the English giants in the Champions League, considering they have never won the competition and only lead Sporting CP by one goal as the second leg of the quarter-final awaits.
History is written by the victors and unless Mikel Arteta can finally prove that he can get Arsenal over the line in either the Premier League or the Champions League this campaign, one can expect fans to further mount the pressure on his as well as this current crop’s credentials as winners.
