Gabriel Jesus has admitted that his situation at Arsenal has changed, offering a revealing update on his future at the Emirates amid growing transfer speculation.

The Brazilian striker featured from the bench during Arsenal’s 2–1 defeat to Bournemouth. However, it was his comments away from the pitch that quickly drew attention.

At a crucial stage of the season, those words could carry real significance.

Gabriel Jesus admits Arsenal situation has changed

Speaking in an interview ahead of the Bournemouth clash, Jesus acknowledged that his role is no longer what it once was under Mikel Arteta.

“Obviously, my situation at Arsenal has changed from what it was before, but my main focus today remains Arsenal,” he said.

That statement is measured, however, it is also telling. It reflects a player who understands his standing has shifted, even if he remains committed to the team in the short term.

Moreover, increased competition in attacking areas has limited his influence. As a result, Jesus has often been used in a rotational role rather than as a guaranteed starter.

Palmeiras return remains long term ambition

Alongside his Arsenal comments, Jesus also opened up on a potential return to Palmeiras in the future.

“My desire is to one day return to Palmeiras and win even more titles.”

That ambition has been consistent throughout his career. Therefore, it does not confirm an immediate exit. Nevertheless, it does reinforce the idea that his long term future may lie away from north London.

Importantly, he also admitted that no formal offer has arrived. Even so, the connection remains strong and could become relevant in upcoming windows.

What this means for Arsenal moving forward

From Arsenal’s perspective, the situation is evolving. On one hand, Jesus still offers experience, pressing intensity and tactical flexibility. On the other, his reduced role raises questions about long term planning.

Furthermore, with attacking reinforcements likely to be explored, his position could become even less secure.

Ultimately, this feels like a situation that will develop over time. For now, Jesus remains focused on Arsenal. However, as he himself admits, things have changed; and that shift could shape a key decision in the months ahead.
