Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal – who are currently at the top of the Premier League table – are still on course to win three trophies this term but they are still looking to reinforce their squad in the summer transfer market.
The Gunners, especially after losing the Carabao Cup final 2-0 to Manchester City, are still in the FA Cup and the Champions League.
It is inevitable they will secure silverware come the end of the season, thus ending their lengthy wait for a trophy. But Arteta and his entourage are reportedly looking to strengthen their ranks further.

As it has been revealed, Arsenal are in for a busy summer. Their spending last summer means that at least one first-teamer is expected to be on the chopping block, thus freeing up space and funds for incomings.
Real Madrid star of interest to Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea
Defensively, the capital club are sound. William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are a formidable partnership in the middle of the back line and they have plenty of decent options on either side of the defence.
But at the top end of the pitch, it’s no secret that there are still additions to be made.
Viktor Gyokeres was signed from Sporting CP last summer but the Swedish centre-forward has struggled to adapt to the trials and tribulations of English football. Arda Guler could be signed to alleviate the stress.
According to TEAMtalk, the Gunners have joined the race for Real Madrid’s Guler, who has also attracted interest from Chelsea and Liverpool.
The Merseysiders are long-term admirers of the 21-year-old and are reportedly in constant contact with the star’s representatives and employers.

It is a possibility that Los Blancos will sanction the young Turk’s departure in the summer months and Arteta’s men could rival Liverpool for his signature.
Xabi Alonso’s mid-season departure has left Arda Guler’s position in jeopardy and a change in manager has prompted the club to reassess their options from an attacking perspective.
TEAMtalk have reported that Arsenal are among the sides – which includes their two Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool – that are looking to pounce on his prospective availability at the end of the campaign.
Arsenal move for Guler could stunt Dowman’s growth
While a move for the Real Madrid youngster looks a fantastic prospect on the face of it, Arteta already has Martin Odegaard in that position, while Eberechi Eze and Max Dowman are both waiting in the wings.
Especially in terms of the latter, Arda Guler moving to north London could complicate matters.
Dowman has, oddly, been told to leave the club ‘as soon as possible’ by talkSPORT’s Adrian Durham but the likelihood is that he’ll stay around for a long time… and he’ll be the poster boy for years to come.

Having become the young goalscorer in Premier League history with his strike against Everton, the world is the teenage sensation’s oyster and he’s shown glimpses of his generational talent.
That is something Arsenal – and the Emirates Stadium – will not want to get in the way of. Signing Guler could (as mentioned) make things more difficult for the young Englishman and so it could be best to let Liverpool and Chelsea battle it out for his services.
