Arsenal travel across North London to take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon, in what will be another huge game in determining the outcome of the title race.
The Gunners will be eager to respond to Wednesday night’s disappointing result against Wolves by securing their fifth consecutive victory against their hated rivals. Meanwhile, Spurs will be looking to move away from the relegation zone under new boss Igor Tudor, who will be in the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium dugout for the first time.
Mikel Arteta may have Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz available for the visit to N17, although the Spanish manager was coy on the two players’ potential involvement in his press conference on Friday.
Aside from these potential absences and long-term absentee Mikel Merino, Arteta should have a fully fit squad to select from. Bukayo Saka is likely to replace Noni Madueke on the right wing after the talismanic figure was utilised centrally in midweek, while Leandro Trossard may also come back into the starting eleven and replace Gabriel Martinelli.
Arsenal should have too much for a Spurs side that has failed to win in each of their last eight league matches. Tudor will also be without 13 senior players for the encounter, giving the Gunners a greater chance of dismantling their noisy neighbours.
