Arsenal in the mix to land Wilfried Zaha
Arsenal are reportedly one of the clubs keeping an eye on the situation regarding Crystal Palace winger, Wilfried Zaha and his future at Selhurst Park.
According to a recent report from 90 Min, there are numerous clubs across the Premier League and Europe with eyes on the winger, whose current contract at Palace is set to expire in the summer.
In terms of Arsenal’s involvement, this is what the report had to say: “Arsenal are being kept informed of Zaha’s situation with Mikel Arteta believed to be an admirer of his.”
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Ivory Coast international in the past, which makes it easy to see why they may be interested in potentially signing Zaha as a free agent in the summer.
Having made 440 senior appearances for Palace, the 29-year-old has scored 88 goals and delivered 74 assists in the process.
With 10 Premier League appearances under his belt for Patrick Vieira’s side this season, the attacker has scored five goals and delivered one assist.
To further highlight his attacking talent, Zaha has made more shots at goal (26), passes into the 18-yard box (11), live-ball passes that have led to a shot at goal (20) and dribbles (55) than any other Palace player this season.
Described by Neil Warnock as having “electric” feet, as well as being a “complete player”, the Palace star would surely be an exciting addition to Arteta’s squad and add some depth and strength to his ranks.
However, with other clubs in the Premier League such as Chelsea and Liverpool reportedly keeping an eye on the player, as well as sides across Europe like Paris Saint-Germain and the two Milan clubs, it’s safe to say that Arsenal could have a challenge on their hands to get Zaha to the Emirates.
