Mikel Arteta will be chomping at the bit to get a full summer transfer window and pre-season under his belt as Arsenal manager, ahead of his first full campaign as a manager, where he will aim to get the Gunners back into the Champions League.
Arsenal haven’t taken part in Europe’s elite competition since the 2016/17 season, having played in the Europa League in each of the past three campaigns, and Arteta will aim to remedy that situation.
Arsenal also haven’t competed at the very top level of the Premier League for a number of years now, and the Spaniard will have been tasked with making the Gunners a team to be feared once again.
