New Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly hoping to bring a new centre-back and midfielder to north London during the January window.
That’s according to ESPN, cited by the Daily Star, who claim that the Spaniard is keen on both Juventus defender Merih Demiral and Atalanta midfielder Dejan Kulusevski.

The pair have both been linked with moves to the Emirates during Unai Emery’s time in charge, and it seems as if Arteta is keen for the club to pursue deals for the duo.
Tottenham are keen on Demiral’s services in the new year, while Manchester United have shown a strong interest in Kulusevski.

Demiral has made just five appearances under Maurizio Sarri this season, while midfielder Kulusevski has been impressing out on loan at Parma in recent months.

If the Gunners can get deals over the line for both Demiral and Kulusevski, while keeping hold of several key men, it would be a great window for the club.
Both could also be available in realistic financial deals.
Demiral is highly-rated by Juventus officials and could solve Arsenal’s central defensive woes, while Kulusevski’s versatility in midfield could see him become a vital member of Arteta’s side.
